Site Evaluation
Assess potential in terms of flow speed, depth, bathymetry, exposure, and access
Determine tidal coefficients and assess local factors that may impact availability and/or capacity factor
Evaluate energy demand, nature of connection (on or off-grid), and ability to match tidal energy to demand profile
Potential environmental impacts, constraints and ability to co-exist with other users
Regulatory environment, permitting & licensing processes, PPA terms, incentives for renewable energy deployments

Engineering
Specification of turbines and power system to match tidal resource, type of grid connection, and demand profile (may include storage)
Selection of most appropriate PLAT-I platform to suit the project and application
Design and specification of balance of plant; cabling and connectors, anchors & moorings Installation and O&M strategies and planning
