Vice President Communications
Cindy is a result orientated marketing and communications professional bringing more than 20 years’ experience in both the private and public sector. She began her career as a partner in a boutique marketing and communications agency which was eventually sold to a national agency.
She worked for Bay of Fundy Tourism where she led the global marketing and communications strategy for Bay of Fundy in the New7Wonders of Nature Campaign, that landed a spot as a global finalist. She spent many years doing crisis communications and was a member of Hill and Knowlton’s national crisis team and worked for Swissair managing their media and government relations for Canada following the tragedy of Flight 111.
She worked for Microsoft managing their communications activities in Atlantic Canada, and Metamaterial Inc., a nanotechnology company, where she managed their marketing and communications activities from a start-up to a publicly traded company.
As a community volunteer, she chaired the World Youth Sailing Wine Festival Fundraiser, was the VIP Coordinator for the IIHF Junior Hockey Championships in Halifax, was a past member of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce Marketing and Communications committee and currently serves as an executive board member at Sail Nova Scotia.
